Harold W. Carmichael's Obituary
Harold W. Carmichael, Affectionately known as, "Hogie", age 78, went to be with the Lord Monday morning July 25, 2005 at Good Shepherd Hospital after a brief illness. Services will be performed by Tom Roberson and Sam Dickens.
Mr. Carmichael, was born December 26, 1926, one of five children to Hugh and Mary Carmichael, graduated from Longview High School and attended Kilgore College. Served in the United States Army from May 1945 to December 1946. Prior to retirement, Mr. Carmichael served as a chemical operator at Texas Eastman in excess of 40 years.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Longview.
He is survvied by two sisters, Mary Ann Works and Ruth Robertson and Husband A.T. Robertson, and one brother, John Carmichael and wife Mary Lou and sister-in-law, Evelyn Carmichael.
He was also much loved by ten nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephew, fondly referred to as Uncle Harold. He was preceded in death by his motehr and father and one brother Earl Carmichael of Santa Clara, California.
Visitation will be held Tuesday afternoon 3pm prior to the funeral at 4pm in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home. Interment follows at Memory Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Randy Works, Tim Works, Andy Robertson, Ragan Dickens and Daniel Jordan
