Harold "Tommy" Vickery's Obituary
Harold Vickery AKA Tommy was born April 19, 1945 and passed away on May 31, 2024 at 79 years of age.
Tommy was born to Callie Fincher (Vickery) in Longview and later moved to Cotton Valley, LA. He served 2 years in the U.S. Army and had many jobs in his life. He worked for LE Meyers as an electrician, as a welder and Weldman's Industries, and in maintenance at Trinity Industries for 22 years until he retired in 2010. He loved riding horses and 4wheelers and always had his kids on horses, 4wheelers, 3wheelers, dirt bikes and go-carts. Even driving vehicles before they were old enough to drive.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gay Vickery, two children, Toni Vickery and Jason Vickery and wife Tina as well as his granddaughter, Carley Vickery. He is also survived by his brothers, Charles Vickery and Michael Vickery and wife Vicki, both of Longview. His sisters, Sandra Durham and husband Gene of Longview and Barbara Kaufman and husband Ken of Montana.
Tommy was preceded in death by his mother, Callie Vickery and his sister, Karen Howard.
He had many nieces and nephews. Tommy loved all his family whether you believed it or not, he really did!
We would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice for taking care of Tommy in our hours of need.
Funeral services for Tommy will be held in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview on Thursday, June 6 at 10 am with the burial to follow at Noonday Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
