Harold Lynn Shivers' Obituary
Harold Lynn Shivers born June 14, 1942 in Carthage, Texas. Lynn passed away peacefully on July 5, 2018 in his home. Forever the devoted husband, father and “Papaw”, Lynn is survived by his wife Mary of 50 years. He leaves a daughter, Tina Haggard and husband Dusty; daughter Jennifer Linton and husband Blake, grandson Brock and granddaugher Georgia Pearl, all of Longview. He also leaves a sister Janet Jones and brother Larry Shivers and wife Diane, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents Bruce and Ruth Shivers and brother, Jerry.
Lynn was a Veteran in the Armed Forces from 1960 to 1964. He was also a member of the GWRRA Chapter I motorcycle club of Marshall, Texas. He had a well-known passion for tractors, antique cars and motorcycles. He could always be found enjoying working out on his farm in past years.
The family would like to ask those who wish to gather in memory of Lynn to join them Sunday, July 8th at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Longview for a visitation from 4:00-6:00pm. A private cremation ceremony will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Heartsway Hospice, 4351 McCann Road, Longview, Texas.
