Harold Kuykendall's Obituary
Funeral services for Harold Kuykendall age 77 of Tatum will be held Wednesday August 20, 2008, at 4:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Tatum with Justice Donald R. Ross Ret. officiating.
Masonic committal services will follow at Tatum Cemetery.
He was born April 9, 1931 in Tatum, Texas. He retired after serving twenty-five years as Rusk County Commissioner Precinct 2 and was the former owner of Kuykendall Feed Co. He was a member of the Tatum Masonic Lodge Number 1386 where he was a Past Master. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Waco, Knights Templer of Texas and the Sharon Shrine Temple in Tyler. He also served on the East Texas Council of Governments where he served as President for two terms.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Katie Kuykendall, brother John Doyle Kuykendall, sisters, Mozelle Henry and Mary Reed. Survivors include his wife of 54 years Patsy Kuykendall of Tatum, Children Robert & Joyce Kuykendall of Tatum, Sandra & Donny Kelsey of Henderson, three sisters Katheryn Marshall of Marshall, Linda and Louis Kelley of Tatum, Jane and Roger Clements of Tyler, three grand daughters and their spouses, Alicia & Curt Smith, Melissa & James Staves, Krystal Kuykendall and Lance Loftin, great grandson, Cannon Smith. Loving friend and Caregiver Lilly Welch.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Rader Funeral Home in Henderson.
Pallbearers will be Curt Smith, James Staves, Lance Loftin, Ronald Reed, Harold Doyle Howell, Chad Stuart, Wayne Clements, Lee Williams, Mike Pepper, and John Metcalf.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Baird, Billy Todd Bryan, Bill Carter, Rosser Crawford, Bill Hale, Jimmy Hayes, James Miller, Jake Porter, Orville Todd, Richard Todd, Freddy Swann, Troy Williams, Darwin Redmon and Oil Patch RV Club.
