Harold Eugene Warnix's Obituary
Services for Harold E. Warnix, 76, of Longview will be 2 PM Monday, January 23, 2006, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Brother Bobby Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Rosewood Park. Mr. Warnix passed away Friday morning in a Longview hospital. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Visitation will be from 3-5 PM Sunday at the Funeral Home.
Harold Warnix was born on February 17, 1929 in Snow Hill, Arkansas to Dewey and Iva Warnix. He has been in the Longview area for over 70 years. Mr. Warnix proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was retired from Lone Star Steel where he was a millwright. He also served as the president of the United Steel Workers Union. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed woodworking, but his favorite hobby was watching his grandsons play all different types of sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son in law Gary Bloodworth; sisters Melb Warnix, Ruth Smart, and Jean Edwards; brothers L.J. Warnix, and Rudolph Warnix.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lola Warnix; children Linda Bloodworth and Chris Bales, Randy and Lisa Warnix, and Lisa and Rick Singleton; grandsons Cody Bloodworth, Trevor Warnix, Zack Singleton, and Sebastian Bales; sisters and brother in law Shirley and Jimmy Alford, and Carolyne Renfro; brother in law Manuel Smart; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Randy Skinner, Bill Boyd, Mark Witherspoon, David Barrow, Steve Handy, and Bradley Smith.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.
