H. James "Jim" Schell's Obituary
H James “Jim” Schell, age 84, died at home peacefully surrounded by family on September 23rd 2014. Born September 2, 1930, in Albany, NY, Jim lived in Gilmer, TX. He worked at Southwestern Bell until retiring in 1986.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Margaret; a brother and sister, William and Margaret; 2 daughters, and 1 son, Suzanne, Kathey and Jim; 3 step daughters and 1 step son Michelle, Dena, Nicolette and Stephen; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial for Jim will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 29, 2014 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. prior to the Mass. Entombment will follow in Rosewood Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice or The American Cancer Society, Gregg North Unit, P.O. Box 906, Longview, TX 75606 or to HeartsWay Hospice, 1306 Pine Tree Rd., Longview, TX 75604.
