H. F. Loyd's Obituary
Services for H. F. ?Dusty? Loyd , 84, of Longview will be 2 PM Monday, April 5th at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel With Dr. Laney Johnson officiating. Mr. Loyd died Friday morning at a Longview Nursing Center.
He was born October 15, 1919 at Gladewater and had been a resident of Longview for 56 years. Mr. Loyd was a member of the Mobberly Baptist Church and was retired from Texas Eastman Co. where he was employed as a sheet metal mechanic. He served with the United States Navy during World War II.
Mr. Loyd is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy of Longview; his daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Dr. Paul Johnston of Shreveport; granddaughters, Leah Johnston of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Carrie Johnston of West Palm Beach, Florida; step-grandchildren, Stephanie Jimmerson of Henderson and Kyle Duncan and wife Michelle of Kilgore; step-great grandchildlren Zach and Jordan of Henderson and Aaron of Kilgore and sister-in-law, Joy Loyd of Lancaster, Texas.
Memorial contributions may be made to Heart?s Way Hospice of Northeast Texas 1306 Pine Tree Rd. Longview, TX 75604 or to the Mobberly Baptist Church.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Sarah Moore and Phillip Scott for their excellent care which they gave to Mr. Loyd during his final illness.
The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home immediately following the funeral service.
