Gwindolyn (Gwin) Rae (Fears) Chapman
June 3, 1929 – March 14, 2015
Gwin Chapman went home to be with the Lord on March 14, 2015. She was born on June 3, 1929 in Compton Community to Lee and Bessie Love Fears. She was married to Roy O. Chapman on December 11, 1948, and they remained happily married until his death in 1997. She graduated from Henderson Memorial Hospital Nursing School in 1969. She was a dedicated and compassionate nurse for over twenty- five years. She was caring mother and doting grandmother who loved to fish and sew. All who knew her loved her and her chicken and dumplings.
She was preceded in death by:
Parents Lee and Bessie Love Fears and step-mother Lou Mary Fears, husband Roy O. Chapman, beloved son Michael O. Chapman, sister Nell Ham and brothers Dan Fears and Mickey Fears.
She is survived by:
Daughters: Brenda Barton (Keith) of Henderson, Tx and Beverly Crow (Rodger) of Nocona, Tx.
Grandchildren: Shane Barton (Tammy), Dee Dee Green (Marc), Leslie Goodman (Joseph), Julie Rinlee, Joshua Rinlee and Mika McMurray (David)
Great- grandchildren: Zachory Anderson, Maley Green, Ethan Barton, Jayla Goodman, Luke Green, Joseph Goodman Jr., Jaxon Maddoux, Jelena White, Ella Grace Barton and Marlee McMurray
Great-great grandchild: Kayne Anderson
Sisters: Patty Swindler and Dawn Dennison.
Also survived by a host of special nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at Laneville Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2015.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Laneville Cemetery.
