Funeral services for Gwen Honeycutt, age 78, of Henderson will be held at 10:00Am
Thursday August 23, 2007 in the Chapel of the First Baptist Church of Henderson with Rev. Robert Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park under the direction of the Rader Funeral Home of Henderson..
Mrs. Honeycutt passed away Monday August 21, 2007 at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her husband Reagan Honeycutt and a son Kenny Honeycutt..
She was born March 20, 1929 in Okfuskee County Oklahoma. She had lived in Henderson since 1931. She graduated from Carlisle public school, she held an associate degree from Kilgore College where she was a Rangerette. Gwen enjoyed gardening, cooking, and needlework. She was an accountant and office manager for the Henderson Daily News. She was a member of the Rose Tolersdecorative painters The Rusk County Historical Society, a member of the First Baptist Church in Henderson.
Survivors include her daughters Roxann Honeycutt of Dallas, Laura Honeycutt of Lewisville, grandson Hawkins Honeycutt Ehret of Lewisville, sister Maxine Graham of Burleson, cousin Norman Waddell Seminole, Oklahoma. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mike Graham, Tom Slavik, Larry Waddell, Keith Waddell, Skip Honeycutt, and Johnny Holder.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Norman Waddell, William Ashby, Donnell Wright, Robert G. Cyphers, and Jim Robertson.
The family will meet friends at the funeral home from 6-8pm Wednesday night.
