Guy W. Cheek's Obituary
Memorial services for Guy W. Cheek, 70, of Longview, will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 9, 2003 at Winterfield United Methodist Church with the Reverend Mike Lindstrom officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Cheek died Friday, September 5, 2003 at The Clairmont.
Guy was born in Timpson, TX, son of Houston and Guyrene Cheek.
He graduated from Northwestern State College in Natchitoches, LA.
After graduation, he served in the U.S. Army for two years and retired from Burlington Air Freight. After retirement, he loved to repair antique clocks and
had a great love for his dog, Tess. Guy never met a stranger and loved to talk with people from every aspect of life.
Guy is survived by his wife, Mary Anne Cheek; son, David Cheek of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Karen Haigh of Many, LA, sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Archie Williams of Longview; and brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Chee Cheek of Canton, TX.
