Guy C. Seeds' Obituary
Funeral services for Guy C. Seeds, 79, of Longview, will be 2 PM Thursday, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Reverends T. C. Weatherby and J. L. Cross officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Gilmer, Texas with military honors.
The family will greet friends from 7 to 8 PM on Wednesday at Rader Funeral Home.
Mr. Seeds passed away on August 25, 2002 in a Longview hospital.
Guy was born October 18, 1922, in Ringgold, TX, to Herman and Pearl Wooten Seeds. He was a member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church and was re-ired from the fabrication department of Trailmobile. Guy proudly served his country during World War II with the US Army and the 36th Division, Company E, 142nd Infantry, Texas T-patchers and was awarded several medals, including the Purple Heart.
Mr. Seeds was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Billy Seeds, Monroe SeedsWWII victim and Arthur Fletcher and a granddaughter, Tammi Reese.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lois J. Richardson Seeds of Longview and formerly of Henrietta, TX,; Children: Linda and Harold Reese of Longview, Anita and Jerry Gramly of Gainesville, TX, Larry and Faith Seeds of Longview and Mike Seeds of Hallsville, TX; Grandchildren: Staci Zurn and husband Chris of Longview, Jennifer Avery and husband Chris of Denison, TX, Tia Gramly of Dallas and Shane Gramly of Sherman, TX; Great Grandchildren: Jordan, Heath and Baleigh of Longview, Carson, Kaitlyn and Keaton of Denison, TX.; Brothers: A. J. Fletcher of Buna, TX and Bobby Fletcher of Gilmer, TX; Sisters: Dessi Smith of Gilmer, TX and Della Treadway of Buna, TX.
