Gretchen Marie Pinson's Obituary
Services for Gretchen Marie Doby Pinson, 90, will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Reverend David Lawson officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Pinson died Saturday, May 30, 2009 in a Rowlett nursing home. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, June 2, 2009 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
A native of Gregg County, Mrs. Pinson was born October 29, 1918. She had lived in the Longview area all of her life until 2005, when she moved to Rockwall, Texas to be near her son. She was a member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Don and Martha Pinson of Heath, Texas; 2 grandchildren, Karen Babb and husband Mark of Dallas, and Amy Brooks and Bill Lindley of Garland, Texas. Also 2 great-grandsons, Cory Shove and Josh DeMas of Rockwall, Texas; sister, Nalda Murphy of Tyler, Texas; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Laura Jerden of Longview; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Rowlett Health and Rehab for the loving care given to Mrs. Pinson for the past two years of her life.
