Gracie Reynolds' Obituary
Funeral services for Gracie Reynolds, age 96 of Henderson, will be held Thursday November 10, 2011 at 10:00am in the Chapel of Rader Funeral with the Rev. Tommy Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00pm at the Neuville Cemetery in Center with the Rev. Marion Huckaby officiating.
Mrs. Reynolds passed away Sunday November 6, 2011 at ETMC Henderson
Gracie was born in Shelby County, Texas on August 17, 1915 to William Neal and Ada Lee Nichols Matthews. She was active in her church, loved her neighbors, and took care of family. She worked as a homemaker and broiler farmer until retiring to devote full time to her only grandson. She was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, sisters, Irene, Annie Lee, Billie and Marie, and one brother Thomas.
Gracie is survived by a daughter, Velma R. Jones of Henderson, one grandson Mark Lee Jones and wife Mary of Charlotte, North Carolina, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by an extended family, and the special birthday baby born on her 96th birthday, Cason Lee McMillen.
Pallbearers will be William Berryhill, Sam Harris, Don Jordan, Dan McMillen, Tim Tidwell, and Eddie Wright.
The family visitation will be from 5~7pm Wednesday night at the funeral home.
The family thanks Jordan's Home Health, Hearts Way Hospice, ETMC Henderson, Champion Ambulance Service, and especially Dr. William Roberson for the many many services provided with such personal care
