Gloria D. Pipak's Obituary
Gloria D. Pipak, 92, passed away March 4, 2025 in her home surrounded by family.
Rosary will be recited Monday, March 10 at 6:00 PM followed by a visitation at 6:30 PM at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 11 at 10:00 AM followed by interment at Rosewood Cemetery in Longview.
Gloria was born in Longview, Texas on October 30, 1932 to her parents, Donnell and Pearl Pierce. She graduated from Longview High School in 1950 and attended Kilgore College.
In 1953, Gloria married Joseph Robert Pipak, her husband of 66 years. They built a full life together in Longview, Texas where their home was open to all. She spent her life serving others.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, Donnell C. Pierce, Judy Hubbs and Susan Flynn, son, David Pipak, and nephew, Jason Pierce.
Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Richard Pierce, children, Joseph R., Jr. (Lisa), Elizabeth Dukes, Steve (Stacey), Daniel (Lynne), and Julie Pipak, daughter-in-law, May Pipak and the wife of Jason, Melody Pierce.
Gloria was affectionately known as Grandmother to 21 grandchildren (who each thought they were her favorite): Aaron, Adam, Austin, Brooks, Lindsay, Cary Paul, Rhett, Derek, Anna, Joshua, Justin, Rachel, Katy, Stephen, Jacob, Diana, Brandon, Allison, Pierce, Sarah, Helena, and Jude. Her legacy continues through 38 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren.
Our matriarch was the glue that held the family together. Her home was where cousins became friends, holidays were celebrated, favorite meals were served, backyard games were played, and the tea cake cookies were never in short supply.
