Doug and family, Tears and words can't begin to tell the neat stories of your friendship, just one year ago we hugged as you left our house, I think we all knew it would be her last sleep over here, but she never gave up hope, and you all hoped with her, even all the suffering you ALL went through, didn't make it any easier to let her go. Our sypmathy is all I can say now - you will get your letter Doug. Love and prayers. JMJ##imported-begin##DelRae & Phil Hilfiker##imported-end##

JMJ
Dearest Doug, Dan, Leslie, Brenda, Brad, Darcy, Kate & Abby...
Gloria touched my life in so many ways and I am grateful for every card, letter, exotic postcard, phone call, and handmade item she sent.
She was the first person to ever send me a card with a JMJ written in the corner and a letter with a smiley face at the end of a sentence. Who ever knew she would start a national phenomenon?!
She lived every day to the fullest, pinched butts, always had a smile and wore bright pink to her mother's funeral. She was a wonder...
religious, full of vitality and endless love.
May God Bless her and all of you. She is in a better place and free of pain. I have a less-than-thriving indoor rose plant that shocked me when I returned home from Longview ...it had a vibrant healthy pink rose on it! A rose from Gloria.
She was and always will be my,
"Glorious Godmother Gloria."
I love each and every one of you.
With all of our love and continued prayers,
Sara, Al and Jackson##imported-begin##Sara Johnson Lipka##imported-end##
Gloria always wrote to me when I felt down and alone. Like she knew exactly how I was feeling, at the exact moment I was feeling like that. She was my second mother, and bestfriend all wrapped up in the beautiful package known as Gloria. Like so many others I am lucky to have known her. Not to mention a better person as well. Thanks for sharing your wife and mother with all of us, she was one of a kind. Just like all of you.##imported-begin##Matthew R. Johnson##imported-end##
I knew her when she was in her early 20's and always happy and smiling. She had the family life she always wanted and she left us all with beautiful memories. I am so very sorry for the family to have such an emptiness. With deep regrets, Nancy J.##imported-begin##Nancy Herstein Johnson##imported-end##

To Gloria's family I want to say how much we loved and miss her on the tennis courts. She was a good player, friend, and someone who who was fun to play with.
May the warm memories you shared bring you comfort during this time.

I am so sorry for the loss of a beautiful woman who was wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. It's a wonderful testimonial to Gloria--and to you, her family and caregivers--that even through her suffering she had opportunities to share her smile. May God ease your pain and comfort you now in this time of sorrow.##imported-begin##Cathy Fischer Wesche##imported-end##
Doug,
I know that Gloria is in a far better place. She was a wonderful person and the two of you were soul mates. My thoughts and prayers go with you and your family as the days pass that he may heal the void that has been left in her passing.##imported-begin##Mark Grant##imported-end##
