Funeral services for G. V. ?Vince? Hudson, 79, of Longview will be held at 12 Noon Friday September 24, 2004 at the First Christian Church with Reverend Phil Jones officiating. Cryptside services will follow at Rosewood Park Mausoleum under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Hudson passed away Sunday September 19, 2004.
He was born March 22, 1925 in Wilsey, Kansas to the late Leroy and Nellie Hudson. He was a lead navigator in the 3003rd bomber squadron in World War II . He received his doctorate from the University of Nebraska. Vince worked for Eastman Kodak for forty years. He lived in Longview for fifty years and was a member of the First Christian Church . After retirement, he was involved with civic activities, especially enjoying patrolling neighborhood with Citizens on Patrol.
He was married to his wife Laverne also recently deceased whom he deeply loved.
Survivors include, a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Terry Keane of Canton, TX.; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Pauline Hudson of, Mzuzu, Malawi, Africa; five granddaughters, Emily, Erin and Sarah Keane, Rachel Spiers, and her husband Keith , and Pamela Hudson. Vince had one great-grandchild, MacKenzie Keane. He is also survived by a brother Keith Hudson of Inman, South Carolina; two sisters, Merna Hunter of Littleton, Colorado; Marjorie Hailey of Council Groves, Kansas.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday September 23, 2004 from 5pm until 7 pm.
