Glenn was one of the fine lawmen left in East Texas. He will be missed by all who were blessed to know him. I remember him as a teen all the way through my adult years. You and your family are in my prayers as you bid good-bye to him - but we as Christians know that we will meet again.##imported-begin##Anita Griffis-Smith##imported-end##
I am lucky enough to have a personally autographed book of Glenn's Texas Ranger career. From one lawman to another "Well Done". ##imported-begin##Mike Halasi##imported-end##

Dear Dennis and family,
I aam sorry that I was not able to visit with you or attend Glenn"s funeral.....had the flu!!!
I became acquainted with Glenn in the early fifties when he was a Highway Patrolman....and have cherished his friendship through the years......I can not add to the accolades Glenn has rightfully received, but know that you are in my prayers and the days ahead are tough, but you were blessed, I was blessed....and so many others....you can not ask for much better than that May the Lord be with you,,,,,,,Wayne B. To Diane, Dennis & the Elliott Family, with deepest regrets & condolences & abiding respect. I was fortunate enough to meet Retired Texas Ranger Glenn Elliott when I was seventeen years old. I was introduced to Mr. Elliott by another, now deceased, Retired Company B Texas Ranger. Even at that early age, it did not take me long to figure out that I was standing in the presence of a very special man of great honor, integrity, valor & character. Mr. Elliott was a very special Human Being with a Servant's Heart. He served his God, Family, Country & State like few others have or ever will. I can truly say that I never heard Mr. Elliott speak poorly of anyone. Mr. Elliott had a profound effect on me and countless others whose paths he crossed as he lived his very amazing life. I can truly say that I am a better person for having known him and his son, Dennis. May God Bless You All now & in the difficult days ahead. To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.....##imported-begin##Beth & Matthew Lanagan##imported-end##
