Graveside services for Glenn B. Hilton, 80, of San Marcos, Texas will be held at Eleven O?clock AM Friday January 21, 2005 at the Gladewater Memorial Park with Reverend Homer Hilton officiating. Burial will follow at Gladewater Memorial Park under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Hilton passed away Tuesday January 18, 2005 in New Braunfels, Texas.
He was born August 23, 1924 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He worked with the Houston Local Pipefitters Union 211, he attended the University of Houston, and LeTourneau University. He had lived in San Marcos for Ten years moving there from Cut and Shoot, Texas. He served his country during World War 2 serving in the 6th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron, in the European Theatre of Operations.
He is survived by his wife, Jimmie Jean Hilton of San Marcos, TX.; mother, Willie Carl Hilton Vessel of Longview, TX.; children, Henry L. Hilton and wife Debbie of Austin, TX.; Jedson D. Hilton and wife Debbie of Willis, TX.; Sandy Hilton and Ron Heinz of Copperas Cove, TX.; Cathy and Joe Dowling of San Marcos, TX.; Charles and Dana Hunt of Beaumont, TX.; Carl and Barbara Hunt of Springfield, VA.; brothers, Homer L. Hilton and wife Marilyn of Longview, TX.; Jimmie Hilton and wife Geneva of Angleton, TX.; Dayle Hilton of Gladewater, TX.; sister, Modena Grooms of Longview, TX.; grandchildren, Brenda, Sandra, Dana, Jennier, Ben Joshua, Peyton, and William, great-grandchildren, William and Mia and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Leta Hilton and a son Barry Hilton
