Glenn Arly Detmore's Obituary
Funeral services for Glenn A. Detmore, 91, of Longview will be 2 PM Thursday, December 18, 2003 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Milton Black officiating. Entombment will follow at Rosewood Park Mausoleum.
Born January 18, 1912 in Ft. Worth, Texas he died Monday, December 15, 2003 at a local hospital. He was a United States Marine Veteran of World War II and had worked at Lone Star Wholesale Liquor for over 40 years. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and a former member of the Longview Rotary Club. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending that time with his golfing buddies.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Elvie; Daughters and Sons-in-law, Deanna and Dale Avant of Oakdale, CA and Carolyn and Al Larson of Midland, TX; Grandchildren, David Avant, Denise Avant and Jeffrey Larson; Great Grandchildren, Brianne Ford and Joey Ahrenholtz; and a Great Great Granddaughter, Maegan Ford; 2 nephews and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
The famiy will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, December 17th from 5 until 7 PM.
