I remember Glenda Hagler from the time she was attending the University of North Texas Graduate School of Library and Information Sciences. She was a favorite of everyone. She help me when I was really working hard to earn the Master of Library Science degree at the same time she was working on her degree. It was a fun time. I remember we went to see the film Dr. Zhivago at the North Park Cinema.
She helped me to think. She was so patient with me learning how to say words correctly. She was the best teacher I knew.
Glenda and I were friends in school. She was always sweet and kind to everyone. We had a long conversation awhile back and had lots of laughs together. I know that Tyler was her pride and joy. Just remember all the great time that you had with her Tyler and all the sweet things you did for her. She was a precious lady.

Glenda was a very sweet caring person. I enjoyed having a long conversation with her awhile back. We had some good laughs about old times. I know that Tyler was her pride and joy. I pray that God gives you peace in the days to come. Always remember how much she loved you and how well you took care of her.

I was one of her academic decathlon kids, and some of my happiest memories are with her and my academic decathlon "siblings." She absolutely was a surrogate mom to many of us. She was also a best friend, a mentor, my favorite teacher, and someone who saved my life, gave me hope, and helped me see what I needed to see in myself. I've spent most of my career as a library administrator, and while I am currently acting in the role of city manager, I will always be a librarian trying to make the world just a little bit better like she did for us. -Marc
