Glen Ray Davis' Obituary
Graveside services for Glen Ray Davis, age 75 of Henderson, will be held Friday July 29, 2016 at 11:00am at the Davis Cemetery with Rev. Clyde Billingsley and Rev. Michael Cary officiating . Visitation will be from 9:30am until 10:30am Friday morning before the service at Rader Funeral Home.
Mr. Davis was born October 13, 1940 in Henderson to Thomas Richardson and Flora Marvel Davis, and died Wednesday July 27, 2016 at his residence. He was a retired self employed boat house builder, Glen Ray was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, and husband. Glen loved the Lord and Savior. He was a sweet , kind, and gentle soul. Glen always liked to poke fun at people.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dickie Davis, sisters, Shirley Davis, Billie Martel Davis Adams, and step daughter Kathy Lynn Thompson Wilson.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife Gladys Davis of Henderson, son Derrill Davis & wife Joni of Longview, daughter Dalene Stafford and husband Rich of Henderson, step daughter Sherri Hearrell and husband Robert of New Diana, step son Rick Thompson of Laneville, step daughter Brandi Wilson and husband Philip of Mixon.
sister Maxine Billigsley and husband Clyde of Hartsfield, GA., sister Dean Adams of Mt. Enterprise, sister Nola Joyce Faulkner of Henderson, and sister Tommie Nell Collins of Henderson. Also surving are 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be, Derrill Davis, Rich Stafford, Joel Sayre, Rick Thompson, Robert Hearrell, and Philip Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Trinity Baptist Church, and grandsons.
