Funeral services for Gladys Sharp, 91, of Longview will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, February 8, 2011 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverend Scott Schulik officiating. Burial will follow in Kilgore City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday, February 7, 2011 at the funeral home. Mrs. Sharp was born on July 19, 1919 in Lake Charles, LA to Morris and Mary Alice Rose. She passed away on February 4, 2011 in a Longview hospital. Mrs. Sharp worked as an operator for the Telephone company for over 30 years, helping others with connecting calls. She was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Mrs. Sharp was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Sharp; and 2 brothers. She is survived by her children, George Sharp and his wife Dorothy, and DaRinda "Dorrie" Mattox and her husband Jay, 6 granchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and brother, Dan Rose.
