Gladys Lavelle Moss' Obituary
Funeral services for Lavelle Moss, 94, of Henderson. will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 26, 2008 at the Rader Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tommy Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Rusk County Memorial Gardens under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Mrs. Moss died Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at a Henderson nursing home.
She was born July 14, 1913 in Choctaw County, Mississippi to Lawrence and Eula Ricks Long. She was a long time Henderson resident, a florist for Cole's Flower Mart, and a member of the Eastside Baptist Church.
Mrs. Moss was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Moss and a brother, Jimmy L. Long.
Surviving are her daughters; Peggy Ward and husband Bobby of Henderson, Sylvia Ballow and husband Jerry of Henderson, and Nancy Moss of Dallas;son, Archie Moss and wife Donna of Anthem, Arizona; brother, Bill Long of Hernando, Mississippi;sisters, Sis McClure of Ackerman, Mississippi, Maurice Keen of Leland, Mississippi, and Margie Murphy of New Albany, Mississippi; sister-in-law, Nanilou Long of Ackerman, Mississippi; grandchildren; Randall Holland and wife Carrie, Jeff Holland and wife Tina, Lisa Pierce and husband Neil, Lynn Christian and husband Courtney, Jim Ballow, Kim Isenhour, Stan Moss, Kasey Moss, and Rickie Moss and wife Dommie; 22 great grandchildren; a host of special nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Randall Holland, Jeff Holland, Jim Ballow, Stan Moss, Rickie Moss, Neil Pierce and Courtney Christian.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
