Gladys Emma Richtmyer's Obituary
Graveside services for Gladys Emma Richtmyer, 93, of Longview will
be held at 10:30 AM Monday, October 21, 2002 at Memory Park
Cemetery with Reverend Dan Miller officiating. Mrs. Richtmyer
died Friday, October 18, 2002.
Mrs. Richtmyer was born on April 14, 1909 in Orange, MA to Charles
James and Emma Josephine Vorce.
On February 2, 1935 she married Morse "Rick" A. Richtmyer.
In 1950 the family moved to Texas when Rick was transferred to Longview to assist in the building and operating the plant for Texas Eastman Co., a newly formed subsidiary of Eastman Kodak.
Mrs. Richtmyer was preceded in death by her husband on August 10, 1971.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Scoggins and her husband, Don, of Longview; Judy Mason and her husband, Bill, of Arlington and Martha Griffin and her husband, Bert of Knoxville, TN.
Survivors also include nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Longview where Mrs. Richtmyer was a member for over 50 years.
