The whole Hexter family are very saddened at the passing of Jill. She was a wonderful sister to Richard, sister-in-law to Jenny, aunt to Jonathan and Genevieve, aunt-in-law to Heather and Calum, and great aunt to Celeste, Fraser, Sterling and Isla. We have many happy memories of times with her and LD in London, Devon, Cornwall, Wiltshire and Longview.

Despite the distance between us she was much loved and we’ll miss sharing our family news and sending her pictures of the ever-changing kids, and hearing about Jill’s life in the US. Her presence will be missed.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to all who have been a part of Jill’s life and who have looked after Jill in recent times. It has been of huge comfort to know she was so loved and cared for by her friends and family in the US.

So sad my dearest friend is no longer with us. I first met jill in 1966 when I joined Halliburton London. We had great fun and laughs in those days, going on holiday to Austria, trying to ski 😂, lunches at the playboy where we were members, at finos wine bar, screaming outside the hotel where Michael Jackson and his bros were staying and I could go gone. Suffice to say many memorable times and great laughs. Over the years we talked and laughed a lot over the phone, wrote lots of letters and cards and visited each other’s homes here and in Longview. I also had the pleasure of meeting LD. , her mum and Richard & Jenny and their family, and also her friends in Longview. She will be sadly missed by so many. Love and heartfelt sympathy to all who knew her. RIP jill and thanks for so many wonderful memories. You’ll never be forgotten❤️❤️

So sorry to learn of Gillian's passing. I remember her from Newcomer's Club back in the 80s & 90s. Also bowling with Mavis and Annabelle. Gillian was such of delight and a wonderful person to know. Oh, all the laughter with these three people is such a memory to cherish.
