?G. G.? Mildred Louise Paulsen went into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on February 29th after a lengthy illness. She was born October 3, 1911 in Detroit, Michigan to Bertha and William Green.
In her lifetime she lived in Brooklyn, NY, Wolcott, CT and Monroe, WA before moving to Longview, TX in 1985.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband, Archie Paulsen; four brothers and one sister.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Mary Paulsen, a daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Jerry Evans; 11 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren. Mildred was affectionately called ?G. G.? by family and friends alike. This name was given by one of her great grandsons when he was too young to say Great Grandma.
She worked at the New York Telephone Company in her younger years where she met her soon to be husband. She moved with her family to Connecticut where she worked for the Timex Corporation until she retired in the 1970?s.
A celebration of her life will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday evening, March 4, 2004, at the Resurrection Fellowship Church, 210 W. Marshall Ave., Longview, TX with Pastor Dale Turner officiating.
The family asks that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer?s Association, 3613 S. Broadway, Suite 401, Tyler, TX 75701.
