Gertrude Moore Garner's Obituary
William Gertrude Moore Garner, 97, was born August 25, 1906 in Runge, Texas to Thomas Asa Moore and Mary Susan Forehand Moore.
Mrs. Garner and her husband lived for many years in Carthage, Texas
where they operated The Garner Construction Company and were
faithful members of Central Baptist Church.
In retirement they lived at Hide-A-Way Lake Resort in Tyler.
While there, she helped form the B & B Women?s Golf Association of East Texas.
Graveside services for Mrs. Garner will be held Monday, November 10, 2003 at 2:00 PM in Memory Park Cemetery with Reverend Bobby Moore officiating.
Interment will follow.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd.
Mrs. Garner was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Garner, in 1979.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Earline & Jim Heller of Longview; a grandson, Jim Heller of Charlotte, North Carolina; a granddaughter and husband, Kathy and Nick Zwick of Monticita, California; three great grandchildren, Jeffrey and Holly Heller and Lauren Gibler; nieces,
Mary Lou Smith of Longview and Sue Synott of Willis, TX.
