Gertrude Elaine Bisese's Obituary
Funeral services for Gertrude Perkins Bisese, 76, of Longview Texas will be on Friday June 4, 2010 at 10:00am at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Rev. David English officiating. The pallbearers for the service will be Wayne Hall, Charles Elms, Stanley Glenn, Buddy Stahl, Marion Turner and Dr. Edwin Buckner. Visitation will be held on Thursday June 3, 2010 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bisese passed away Tuesday afternoon at a local hospital with her family by her side. She was born in Pitkin Louisiana on July 31, 1933 to Boyce Perkins and Josephine Austin. In 1953 she married Charles Louis Bisese. She was a loving wife and mother of two children. Mrs. Bisese worked as a Librarian at the Bramlette Elementary School she enjoyed painting, fishing and RV traveling and was excellent at cooking making the best pies. She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Longview where she taught 5th grade Sunday school for a number of years. She was a member of the East Texas Fine Arts Association and enjoyed her volunteer work with Good Sheppard Medical Center.
Mrs. Bisese was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband of 57 years Charles Bisese of Longview; son, John Bisese; daughter, Nancy Lanham of Longview; grandson, Jason Lanham and his wife Jocelyn of Shreveport Louisiana; great grandson, Bayla Lanham of Shreveport; brother, Larry Perkins and his wife Judy of Kilgore Texas; and several nieces and nephews. The family would request that memorial contributions be made to the 1st Baptist Senior Adult Ministry.
