Gerry and her sister, Janet, both coached our daughter, Jennifer Allen Hearn, for the Dallas Morning News Spelliing Bee while they were teaching at Baker Koonce. They lived just a block over from us and even babysat for our son and daughter while we went out of town overnight. Gerry and Janet both were sweet girls. I ran into them a few years ago at the Dairy Queen in Henderson and we had a nice visit, catching up. I'm so sorry to hear of her death and will be praying for her husband and for her sister, Janet. I know this will be so hard for them.

We are so sorry to hear about your great loss. Gerry was always such a good friend. We were neighbors for a long time when she lived in Carthage, Texas. Always such a joy to be with. Our love and prayers today and in the days to come.
