Funeral services for Geraldine Puckett, 83, of Longview will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, April 2, 2003 at Mobberly Baptist Church with Dr. Laney Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Mrs. Puckett was born on January 20, 1920 in Mt. Vernon, Texas to William and Myrtie Davis. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday afternoon, March 30, 2003 in a Longview hospital.
She was a bank teller at Longview National Bank, and a longtime member of Mobberly Baptist Church. On January 22, 1939, she married her college sweetheart, Travis Puckett. They spent 64 wonderful years together.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Mrs. Puckett was preceded in death by her parents, and one daughter, Judy Carolyn Davenport. She is survived by her husband, granddaughters, Kyla Boyd and her husband Jeff of Plano, Karen Davenport of Dallas, great grandchildren, Luke and Emma Caroline Boyd, and numerous nieces and nephews.
