Funeral services for Jerry McWilliams ?Geraldine?, of Longview, will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, July 9, 2003 at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Longview with the Reverends Ben Clayton and James Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Ware Cemetery, Haynesville, Louisiana. Rader Funeral Home of Longview is in charge of arrangements. She died Saturday, July 5, at her residence. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Born May 21, 1933 in McCurtain County, Oklahoma to Olen and Lenora Taylor, Jerry was preceded in death by her 4 older children?s father, Glen Roberts in 1961. She remarried in 1963 to R. Q. ?Cubie? McWilliams. They have a son, Taylor Quinnon. Cubie preceded her in death on April 4, 1992. Jerry and Cubie made their home in Odessa, TX until he retired in 1986. They moved to a lake in Breckenridge, where they lived until his death, and then moved to Longview. Mrs. McWilliams belongs to Fellowship Baptist Church and volunteered at Good Shepherd Medical Center Auxiliary until her illness. Surviving are her daughters, Lynn Thompson and husband Curtis of Lake O? The Pines, Debra Kay McAuliffe and husband Michael of Winchester, VA, and Catherine Elizabeth Polley of Gladewater; sons, Darrell Glen Roberts and wife Janie of Longview, and Taylor Quinnon McWilliams and wife Kris of Tyler; step-children, Gary Wayne McWilliams and wife Judy of Hallsville, Dickie Lee McWilliams and wife Sharon of Cottonwood, AZ, Rickie Joe McWilliams of Austin, and Brenda McWilliams Rae and husband Van of Shallowater, TX Jerry had 8 siblings, 1 of whom preceded her in death, Lorene Kanelos. James Taylor and wife Era of Oroville, CA., Ray and wife Genny of Ceres, CA., Joe and wife Helen of Tulare, CA., Ed and wife Geneva of Odessa, Thelma Bell of Roswell, NM., Thelma McQueen of Longview, Edna and husband Prentis Jones of Odessa; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Shepherd Medical Center Auxiliary, 700 E. Marshall Ave., Longview, TX 75601 or to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, TX. 75701.
