Gerald "Ted" Gibson
Funeral services for Gerald "Ted" Gibson, 72, of Longview will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Reverend Marion Coon will officiate with B. F. Waldron providing the music.
Visitation will be at 2 p.m., one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Gum Springs Cemetery.
Ted was born February 7, 1941 to Birdie Mae and Jesse L. Gibson and went to be with the Lord February 28, 2013 surrounded by his family.
He served in the military and retired from Texas Eastman and was a member of Little Flock Baptist Church.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents and his baby brother, Tommy Ray.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Jimmye Jo Sullivan of Longview and Wanda Lou Edgar of Eureka, Missouri; brothers, Phillip "Pee Wee" Gibson of Longview and Ronnie Gibson of Gilmer.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the Longview Fire Department Stations #2 & 3, Dr. Hong Shen, and the E.R. and 5th floor ICU Staff at Good Shepherd Medical Center. We are especially thankful for the caregivers and employees who became our friends at Whispering Pines Lodge.
