My sincere condolences to the family of my friend, Dr. Gerald Pinson. I will always remember the encouragement which Dr. Pinson gave me when I was serving on the academic faculty of Kilgore College in his last two years of service with Kilgore College.
I will also remember Dr. Pinson as a man who loved his Lord and his family to the greatest measure. He will be missed by us who remain here, but we will look forward to his fellowship in heaven one day.

I was unable to attend services for Gerald , but I want you to know how much I respected and admired him. His friendship meant so much to me. Your Mom and Dad were living examples to fellow Christians . They both devoted so much of their life to Christian service. We are all better people by our knowing them. Gerald has been a precious friend for Dolly and myself for about 40 years. Dolly especially will miss Gerald. He was her music teacher and mentor. His exacting instruction in music has always been appreciated. His Sunday morning hugs and handshakes will always be missed. Each Sunday Dolly would ask how he felt and he would reply. "OK...But OK does not mean what it used to mean." We know he was tired and wanted to go home. We will miss him more than you know.
Looking forward to the day when we can be reunited with him and Velma.

Gerald left a lasting imprint upon countless people; many will never know of the enormous contribution he made to make their lives better. He was a dedicated patriot, promoter of higher education and academics, a well-spring of good knowledge, and a humble servant of God - to name a few. Our deepest condolences and happiest rejoicing to the family for his final, and greatest, graduation.
I'm so sad to hear of Dr Pinson's passing. My mom, Peggy Riley, worked for him at Kilgore College for years. She often said he was the kindest, most compassionate person she'd ever worked for. Love and sympathy to the family. Susan Riley English
Gerald was such a very talented man! Know you will miss him and I offer my condolences. He and Velma were assets to the church in Longview; Morgan and I cared for and respected them both. (Enjoyed the book he gave us about his mama).

To the family I send my condolences. Just last night I asked the question, How did John the Baptist and others teaching just before Christ come about. When did people start teaching so much about the One that will come.
I remembered a book I had purchased years ago, but never took the time to read it is the "Fullness of Time" I went into my storage to look for it this afternoon and found my copy of "The Book" but I could find the other. So I ordered another and then decided to learn about Dr. Pinson, so I looked him up only to find he passed just this week. I am not much on coincidence but more about things happen for a reason. His passing and my searching for his book were for a reason and so I am now compelled to read both of them.
I know you miss him and I am sure I will too after reading his works.
