Georgia Satterwhite Powell, 69, passed away on August 23rd, 2014 while surrounded by family at her home in Longview, Tx.
Georgia was born in Diana, Tx on August 2, 1945 to F.A. And Verna Hicks Satterwhite and was one of fourteen siblings. Georgia attended Harleton schools.
Georgia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and she was known for her wit and good humor.
Georgia is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Susan Budnick of Longview, Tx, Stephanie Cox of Nashville, TN, daughter-in-law, Suzanne Herron of Nashville, TN, stepsons Rory Powell of Karnack, TX and Jason Powell of Frisco, Tx, grandchildren Shelby Vineyard and Ben Budnick, step-grandchildren Aaron Powell and Cade Powell, siblings Barbara Morris, Bonnie and husband Tommy Fulton, William and wife Linda Satterwhite, Molly and husband Phil Deramus, Sara and husband Henry Rushing, Delaine and husband Dennis Bussey, LaDonna and husband Pete Saccoccio, Reba Satterwhite, Dell and husband Alan Daniel, numerous nieces and nephews, and very dear friends Patsy Trice, Shirley Carroll, and Mary Thomas.
Georgia was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Theresa Satterwhite, Anna Smelley, Jeannie Weaver, and Dola Dankle.
Visitation for friends and family is at Rader Funeral Home in Longview on Monday, August 25th from 5-7pm.
Funeral services will be at Rader funeral home at 10am on Tuesday, August 26th. Interment will be at County Line Cemetery in Diana, Tx.
