Georgia Ann Freeman's Obituary
Georgia Ann Freeman, 64, was born on March 3, 1959, and passed away on January 10, 2024. Georgia is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Floyd Freeman Sr., parents Gene P. Freeman Sr. and Evelyn Freeman and her precious grandmother, Emma Jewel Freeman (aka Memaw). Left to cherish her memory her are two sons, Floyd and wife Marisol, and Jeremy and wife Samantha, brother Gene Paul Jr. and wife Carol, brother Gerald, and brother Gordon and wife Debra. In addition, she will be missed by her 6 grandsons- Waylon, Brayden, Austin, Colby, Brantley, and Hayden, as well as many nieces, nephews, and an unimaginable number of family and friends. Georgia graduated from Mesquite High School in 1977 and was very proud to be a Mesquite Skeeter. If you never tried Georgia’s chocolate chip cookies, you probably were not family or a friend. She was extremely musically talented and excelled at playing piano, organ, drums, bass guitar, saxophone, and clarinet. She will be greatly missed by all of those who were blessed to have her in their lives. A memorial service will be held for family and close friends on January 13, 2024, at 2:00pm at New Haven Missionary Baptist Church at 10110 Rylie Road in Dallas, TX 75217. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance.
