Funeral services for, Georgia Faye Wright, 77 of Longview, will be held at Noon Tuesday, April 2, 2002 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverend Harry Lee Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery in Harleton.
Mrs. Wright was born on October 11, 1924 to Johnnie Everett, Sr. and Virgie Lee Simmons. She passed away on Saturday evening, March 30, 2002 at her residence in Longview.
She graduated from Harleton High School, was a grocer at her husband?s grocery store, and a member of the Harleton Baptist Church.
A loving mother, grandmother, and friend, she was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dick W. Wright, two sisters, Gladys Stout and Merlin ''Babe'' Fults. She is survived by her daughter, Jo Ann Scott of Beaumont, son and daughter-in-law, Rickey and Cathy Wright of Harleton, grandchildren, Jennifer Scott of Longview, Joshua Scott of Longview, Jason and Patti Wright of Kilgore, Adam and Marya Wright of Harleton, Rickey Harrison Wright of Harleton, great granddaughter, Lily Winters, sisters, Ovetra Boyd of Longview, Wilma Holland of Longview, brothers, Everett Simmons of Marshall, Johnnie Simmons, Jr. of Frankston, Glenn Simmons of Marshall, several nieces and nephews, special friends, Carrie Mae Lishman of Longview, Hester Tidwell of Longview, Ruby Bolton of Longview, and Ira Melton, Jr. of Longview.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Monday evening at the funeral home.
