Georgia Carver's Obituary
Funeral services for Georgia Carver, 96, of Longview, will be 12 Noon Saturday in the
Chapel of the Alpine Church of Christ with Rodney Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Park Cemetery . Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Ms. Carver died Wednesday evening at a local hospital.
She had been a resident of Longview since 1978 and was born August 24, 1905 in Llano County, Texas to James and Ellen Templeton.
Ms. Carver was a member of the Alpine Church of Christ, a missionary and teacher having served in foreign missionary fields in Germany, Vietnam and Taiwan and served in two worlds fairs in New York and New Orleans.
The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home Friday afternoon from 5 until 7 PM and have asked that memorial donations be made to the Alpine Church of Christ Missionary Fund,
610 E. Loop 281, Longview, Texas 75605.
Ms. Carver was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Nell Carver and is survived by a
son and daughter-in-law, James and Barbara Carver of Longview; grandchildren, James W.
Carver and wife, Janelle of Longview, Joe D. Carver of Longview, Judy Nell Williams and
husband, Fitz, of Plano, Sherrell Brasher of Allen; six great grandchildren, one great, great
grandson and very special friends, Paulette Cook, Quincella Smith and Deela Clegg.
