Gina and Tina, I met George through Lavonne Woodruth back in the early 80's. She and I taught together in Garland. I came to Longview quite a bit and met the two of you. You probably do not remember me, but I do remember the two of you. George was so proud of you girls and he had every reason to be.
I was heading to Longview tomorrow and thought I would google his name. I was so saddened to hear of his passing. I have thought of him so much over the years. We had several dates and he even came to Dallas and took me out a few times. He was one of the most handsome and classiest men I had ever met. I loved my time with him and he always treated me with such respect. He was quite the catch. He was such a fun and crazy guy to be around. True, as on of the comments said, he was larger than life. His laugh and antics were contagious and you just wanted to be around him. He just never took himself too serious and he was such an example for all who knew him. I just loved my chapter with him and will always cherish that time. So sorry for your loss and just so wished I had kept up with him over the years. Thinking of you both tonight and just wanted to let you know how sorry I am. I was so hoping to find him in Longview. I am sure he is there in spirt. Take care and just know you are in my prayers. He was the best and I feel so grateful to have known him.
