George Russell Martin
Graveside services for George Russell Martin, 84, of White Oak will be held at Ten O?clock am Thursday October 6, 2005 at Old White Oak Cemetery with Reverend Aubrey Pate officiating. Burial will follow in Old White Oak Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Martin passed away Monday October 3, 2005 in Longview.
He was born June 4, 1921 in Electra, Texas to Julian and Mary Martin who precede him in death. He was a retired Mechanic for SOHIO Pipeline Company and was a Baptist and had lived in White Oak over fifty years moving there from Jefferson.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys of White Oak, two sons and daughters-in-law, David R. and Margo Martin of East Mountain, Ben E. and Kim Martin of Keithville, LA.; four grandchildren, Janis Carrington and husband Stuart, Josh Martin and wife Jennifer, Melissa Harris and husband David, Adam Martin, three great grandchildren, Jessica Carrington, Rebecca and Ethan Martin.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday October 5, 2005 from 6pm until 8 pm.
