George Thomas Richardson's Obituary
George Thomas Richardson, 93, of Longview, TX, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2024. He was born to Lenard and Roxie Richardson on September 25, 1931, in Richmond, Indiana. He graduated from Union City Community High School in Union City, Indiana. He was an army veteran and served during the Korean War. He retired from Continental Can Company as a maintainer. His brother, Robert Richardson, and sister, Mary Kay Platt, preceded him in death. George is survived by his wife, Marilyn Theis Richardson, whom he married on January 2nd,1954. He is survived by 5 children: Daughter Cynthia Richardson; son George Richardson; son Steve Richardson, and his wife Amy; daughter Janet Sutterfield, and her husband George; daughter Melissa Garrison, and her husband James. He has 9 grandchildren: Eric Richardson, Justin Sutterfield, Ben Sutterfield, Ashley Sutterfield, Kimberly Richardson, Wendy Richardson, Joshua Richardson, Amber Garrison, and Adam Garrison. He is also a great-grandfather to Nora Sutterfield and Colin Sutterfield. A memorial service will be held on November 25, 2024, at 2 pm at Rosewood Park Cemetery.
