George was a very dear friend to both Pat and I. We are very sorry for your loss. George will be sorely missed. We apoligize for not attending his memorial service but I was called out of town If Pat and I can ever do anything for you, let us know. Keep in touch and come back to visit with us when you can.

He was a true Forty & Eighter in every sense of the word and a definite asset to the organization. He will truly be missed by all that knew him. I will always remember the twinkle in his eye, the stories he always had to tell, and the big kiss he gave me whenever I saw him. We enjoyed many Holidays with George as a guest at our table. He was always there whenever someone needed a helping hand.

I met George at the American Legion in Duluth, GA. Come to find out, we were both from Shreveport, LA. I graduated Woodlawn in 1984 and joined the Navy in 1987. We hit it off right from the start.
