George Kenneth Pearson Jr.'s Obituary
George Kenneth Pearson, Jr. passed away on December 13, 2018. He was born on March 18, 1945 in Dangerfield, TX to George “KP” Kenneth, Sr. and Wilma Pearson. George graduated from Dangerfield High School in 1963 and attended his 50thclass reunion in 2013. He served in the Army in Vietnam from 1967-1970. He married Harriet Bailey in 1970. He was an employee of Stroh Brewery for 17 years until it closed, he was primarily a lifelong welder. He married Renetta Lee in 1986. Everyone has a “car story” with George and he will always be remembered as a “genuinely nice and helpful guy.” George loved piddling around and collecting things. He attracted all animals, but especially loved his dogs. He belonged to a deer lease for many years with several close friends and traveled to Colorado just a few years ago for what would be his last Elk hunt.
George is preceded in death by his parents, George “KP” Kenneth, Sr. and Wilma Pearson and his son, Kenneth Pearson. George is survived by his wife, Renetta Pearson, of Longview, TX; daughter Eve Pearson and fiancé Larry Picchiotti of Fort Worth, TX and son and daughter-in-law George “Tank” Kenneth, III and Joy Pearson of Longview, TX, a host of family and friends and his 4-legged children, Tracy, Boobie (yes, he named a dog this), and Happy Dog. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Woodland Christian Church. A memorial to celebrate the life of George will be held at Woodland Christian Church (2472 FM 1844, Longview, TX 75605) on December 19, 2018 at 12:00 p.m.
