George Koerner's Obituary
Graveside services for George Koerner, 88, of Longview will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Hallsville Cemetery with Pastor Lee Berger officiating. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Koerner passed away in a local hospital on Saturday afternoon.
George was born on July 12, 1927 in Orange, NJ to Otto and Louise Koerner. He proudly served his country in the US NAVY during WWII. George was married to the love of his life, Audrey Hicks Koerner on June 26, 1948. He worked in construction in New Jersey, Florida, and California before settling to East Texas where he enjoyed a long career in construction. He enjoyed what he did and loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, George “Gary” Koerner in 1998. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Audrey Koerner; his son and daughter-in-law David and Donna Koerner; and his grandson, Ryan Koerner.
