George H. Rosette's Obituary
Funeral services for George H. Rosette, 74, of Longview, will be 12 Noon Monday in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Steve Cochran and Buck Lineberger officiating. Entombment will follow in Memory Park mausoleum. Services under the direction of Rader Funeral Home, Longview.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home Sunday 3 to 5 PM.
Mr. Rosette passed away Friday evening in a local hospital.
A native of Harrison County, Texas he was born November 2, 1929 to the late George W. and Linnie Porter Rosette. He graduated from Longview High School in 1948, attended Kilgore College 1948 to 1949 and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He was a ordained deacon at Northside Baptist Church in 1955. He retired from Texas Eastman in 1991 having worked in the maintenance division for 38 years. Mr. Rosette loved hunting, fishing, camping and music. He played the steel guitar and the dobro and was involved with the East Mountain Bluegrass band, New Dawning band and Victory Road band .
He is survived by his wife: Mary Frances Rosette of Longview; Son: Wayne Rosette and wife Norma of Cleburne; Daughter: Gail Burks and husband Vernon of Longview; Grandchildren: Laura Reynolds and husband Jonathan of Nacogdoches, Candy and husband Marty Qualls of Longview, Angela Bradley and husband Robbie of Longview, Lisa Rosette of Cleburne, Jared Rosette and wife Kristi of Cleburne; Great Granddaughter: Taytum Alexis Rosette; Brother and Sister in law: Olen and Vergie Brown of Borger; Sister in law: Catherine Strong of Bryan; Mother in law: Annette LaForge of Caldwell and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
