Mrs. Thompson was born on October 30, 1926 in Hastings, Michigan, to Daniel and Myrtle Kurr. She passed away on Tuesday evening, February 12, 2002 in a Kilgore hospital.
She was a resident of Longview, and a homemaker.
A loving mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Margaret Brock and Anna Tebo, and one son, Richard Steven Thompson. She is survived by her daughters and their families, Mrs. Linda Schultz, Mrs. Janice Kelsey, Mrs. Sue Delong, step-sons, Kenneth Thompson, Jack Thompson, step-daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Smith, Charlie Johnson - Parker, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister, Mrs. Beatrice Campbell, brothers, Richard, Frank, and Fred Kurr, sisters-in-law, Doris Chapman, Lois Nash, Ethel Voile, and Kathleen Thompson, brothers-in-law, Don Tebo.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Friday evening, February 15, 2002 at the funeral home.
