Genell H. Flemister's Obituary
Genell Hutto Flemister of Longview, Texas, went to heaven on November 3, 2012.
This sweet, genteel lady was born in Rains County, Texas, on October 26, 1918. The daughter of rugged Texas pioneers, she was 5th generation Texan. After graduating from Forney Texas High School, she worked in Dallas where she met and married Neill Covington Flemister in 1939. In 2001, after 61 years of marriage, Neill preceded her to heaven to wait for her arrival.
A great deal of Genell and Neill's lives revolved around their activities at First Baptist and Mobberly Baptist Churches. They were active in numerous church leadership roles including training and educating young people as well as young adults.
Genell is survived by her daughter, LeNeille Hudgins Richard of Tucson, Arizona, and two sons; Neill Covington Flemister, Jr. Bonny of Longview, and Steven Powell Flemister Martha of Dothan, Alabama; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and special loving friends Judy and Henry Lamb.
Due to recent surgery, the family visitation at Mobberly Baptist Church has been postponed until travel is possible. Memorials can be sent to Mobberly Baptist Church.
