Gene Webb
Funeral services for Gene Webb, 76, of Longview will be held at Ten O?clock am Tuesday September 6, 2005 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel 1617 Judson Road with Reverend Bobby Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Webb passed away Saturday September 3, 2005 in Longview.
He was born June 22, 1929 in Troup, Texas and had lived in Longview since 1956. He retired after thirty years as Traffic Manager for Axelson, Inc. after retiring he drove for several car dealers in Longview. He was a former member of the Elks Lodge # 1128 in Longview and a veteran of the U. S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was active in the Retirees Club from Axelson and enjoyed the Coffee Club with friends that walked in the mornings at the Mall. He attended Longview High School.
He is survived by his wife, Retha Webb of Longview, son, Ronnie Webb and wife Patti of Glen Rose, TX.; two daughters, Cindy Webb Cude and husband David of Longview, TX.; Judy Short of Houston, TX.; grandchildren, Amanda Garza, Courtney Andrews, Eric Dryden, Aaron Cude, Lauren Cude, three great-grandchildren, brother, Thomas Webb and wife Tullie of Longview, TX.; two sisters, Corine Wright and Edna Eschberger both of Mountainair, New Mexico, and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elmore and Linder Webb, two brothers, Albert and J. T. Webb, one sister Lucille Fuller.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday September 5, 2005 from 3pm until 5 pm.
