Gayle Meier's Obituary
Gayle Meier, a former longtime resident of Longview, passed away January 11, 2002 in a Grapevine nursing facility, after a lengthy illness. She was born April 7, 1920 in Cross Plains, Texas to A. B. and Betty Durrett Pair, who preceded her in death. She also had 3 brothers and 1 sister who predeceased her. She was the widow of Duane E. Meier, who passed away in 1990 in Longview. Together they established Longview Glass Company when they moved to Longview in 1952. They were active and faithful members of First Baptist Church , Longview.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Meier Spies; son-in-law, William Spies, and grandson, Andrew Meier Spies, all of Trophy Club, Texas.
The family will receive visitors at Rader Funeral Home, Sunday, January 13, 2002 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
Graveside services will be 12 Noon on Monday, January 14, 2002 at Grace Hill Cemetery.
