Gayle Hickerson's Obituary
Phyllis Gayle Dunford Hickerson was born Nov. 24, 1938 in Harmony, Arkansas to Argie Sidney and James Lee “Leo” Dunford. The family moved to Longview where Gayle graduated from LHS and B.M.I. Business School. While working at Snelling and Snelling, Gayle was awarded Secretary of the Year.
“GG” or”Mommaw” as she was affectionately called by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, was welcomed back into the presence of the Lord on March 10, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Argie & Leo Dunford, sister and brother-in-law, June and Wayne Carmickle and nephew, James Zerkel. Those left to cherish her memory are two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue and Jerry Zerkel, Dolores and Bill Barrow, son and daughter-in-law, Robert Mark and Rebecca Murray, son Audie Joe Murray, daughter and son-in-law, Tracy Gayle and Nicholas Orr, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held at Rader Funeral Home, Longview, on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 10:00 am. Inurnment will follow services at 2pm that day at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
