Gavin Alyne Rodden's Obituary
Gavin Alyne Rodden, of Henderson, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2011 at he age of 10 after an 18 month battle with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of muscular cancer.
Gavin was born March 28, 2001 in Longview, Texas. He spent most of his life in Commerce, Texas before moving with his family to Henderson 2 years ago. He was a student at Northside Intermediate School. Gavin was a smart young man and an inspiration to everyone that came in contact with him.
He is survived by his parents Brannon and Shannon Rodden; twin brother Garrett and little sister Lorelai all of Henderson; grandparents, Hollis and Paulette Suttle of Henderson, TX and Pam and Mike Fenner of Talco, TX; uncle, James Suttle of Brunswick, GA.; aunts, Misty Long of Bogata, TX and Jessica Myers of Talco, TX; great-grandparents, Faye Loan of Longview, TX , Evelyn Suttle of Jefferson, TX. and Mary Jo Porterfield of Bogata, TX.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Rader Funeral Chapel in Henderson and another Sunday, April 17, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Bogata, TX at 2:00 PM.
Visitation will be Saturday from Noon until 2:00 PM at the Rader Funeral Home.
